Ben Haigh founded Sticks ‘N’ Bones in 2015 following four years working as a senior care worker in a care home for the elderly. Growing up surrounded by family pets including dogs, cats and even chickens and as a keen pet owner himself, he realised that with his family’s busy life style, looking after the animals was almost a full time job.
This gave Ben the idea that other pet owners would be in the same position and in 2015, with the support of his parents, he took the plunge and established his pet care company, Sticks ‘N’ Bones. The ethos behind the Business is to provide a personal service totally tailored to the pet owner’s needs.
Growing up with family pets all his life he is fully aware of the attention demanded by the the different types of much loved pet. This includes ensuring dogs obtain sufficient exercise, family pets are regularly fed or groomed and even taken to the vets in a specially adapted pet taxi.
Ben has a passion for animals, he has two dogs of his own, Labradors, George and Marley and is well experienced in all types of animal husbandry. He is fully insured and DBS (CRB) certified and offers a complete pet care service for all types of animals. In addition to house pets, Ben has over seven years’ experience in small holding management looking after farmyard animals such as chickens, goats, turkeys and geese etc.
Located in rural Oughtibridge, around 5 miles from the centre of Sheffield, the area provides easy access to open country – side as well as miles of woodland walks. Dogs are assured plenty of regular exercise while all pets can be assured of a friendly face and a high degree of tender loving care.
